Denon DP-51f voltage

Hi everyone,

There is a s sticker on the back of my Denon that says “100 volts” I asked my local electronics repair store if I should use a step down transformer to avoid causing any damage and he told me that there was no need; it will work fine when plugged into a 120 volt outlet.

Can anyone please confirm this before I plug it in?

It will work but it might shorten the life of the electronic components so I would probably get the transformer anyway.
