Denon DP1200 Dont start anymore, Help appreciated

Hello,

Now that everything is out of the box, I had to reconnect all the earth points together and the motor spinned again...
But the speed wasn't correct.
So at the end, it was probably only a grounding issue at W16...

I will try to put back everything in the TT and see what's going on.

Edit:
Well, It looks like that now, I have created problems.
The platter is now spinning at full speed whatever I do and the Start/STBy push button has no more action...

Now The voltage at the Zener is not anymore 6V it is 5,83V and the voltage at D5 is 50V instead of 42V...

I have resoldered the arm sensor section and although the solenoid works as it should, the platter is spinning at full speed as soon as I move the standby switch even when the arm is in rest position.

With the arm section connected, the zener voltage (W13 - W15) is 4V2 DC, and the voltage at D5 or (W14 - W15) is only aound 17V instead of 42V... (with or without motor connected).

And moreover, the motor is spinning full speed EVEN if I unscrew the SERVO board from the platter support (so, without earthing W16) !
I'm going to be mad at this !

Hello,

Tom, You've send an answer that I don't see over here.

Yesterday I've been stolen my phone, I can't make pictures of the setup untill I get a new one next week.

I agree that now everything looks like I have made things worst.

In Post #14 you suggested
  • Make sure the servo control PCB is grounded properly via the black lead at W16.
I didn't pay attention as the arm sensor board wasn't anymore connected as per post #13 and the black lead at W16 goes from the arm sensor to the Servo main board and also because before to unconnect the arm sensor board, W16 was connecting to each other without the platter spinning.

Possibly, at the begining, the ground contact between the TT frame and the main board wasn't good ???
For sure as soon as I have started I have unscrewed the boards from the frame and then, the earth wasn't connected at the main board.

Did you ever get this running? I have same problem and have done everything that tried prior to reading this post.
Marty.
