Denon DRA 625r bass issues

Hey everyone,

Current set up: FS52 floor standing speakers; SVS SB-12 NSD; Denon DRA 625. Primary use is music via a Technics SL-Q2 TT and phone through the aux input on the AVR. Listening around 3 meters away in a small living room.

Just recently noticed my sub sounded very underpowered/absent in music. Messed w/ crossover and gain but no real change. When I connected my phone to the subwoofer's line in I was getting good response so it seems that my Denon receiver is having issues. I'm pretty inexperienced with electronics repair. I have a deoxit kit but aside from some cleaning I haven't had to diagnose and address issues. Just wanted to see if anyone has guidance as to what could be going on and if it is worth the trouble of fixing. The AVR has done well for me and I've been considering an upgrade anyways but I also don't want to throw away a good AVR if it has a simple fix.

Thanks in advance for any guidance you all can provide!

Use the speaker inputs on the subwoofer.
Did someone turn the bass control down when you weren't looking?

So that solution worked for getting the sub back but my aux input went completely out 10 mins later. Is my AVR giving out on me? Phono still works fine.

Something strange is going on for sure and the receiver is getting on in years (33+).
You can use another input like tape 1, 2, or CD.
