Denon DVD 5910 Analog output

I could use some help with the 5910's ability to pass DSD to the analog outputs, both 2 and 5 channel without conversion to PCM. There is a lot of conflicting info around, and Denon's manual does not say clearly that it will or won't--at least I didn't find anything. I won't be using it for video or using the HDMI on a receiver. If not what would be a good choice for SACD playback with no conversion at a reasonable price <1000 used.

Thanks in advance for your help

it definitely can do DSD without converting to PCM. i had a 3930ci and i remember it being possible. i think the trick is to turn off all bass management and any other digital processing that the player might be tempted to do, such as messing with speaker placements and such. set "Source Direct" to 'on' and set speakers to large, too.

actually, a brief Google search shows that "Source Direct" is probably the only thing you really need to turn on to ensure pure DSD playback.
