Denon DVD-A/SACD combo player

Hey guys, there's a Denon DVD-A/SACD player (Model 2900) listed locally and I'm curious as to what the value is on this. Asking price is $200 but eBay completed listings reveal perfectly working versions of this player with remote selling for as low as $41 and $35 shipping and at highest $81 + $25 shipping. There was even a listing at $150 that had relisted due to no bids for $150 that even had the original box and everything. How exactly am I to convince this seller to sell their player at a price more in line with current market value? I'd like to have it as I want an SACD player - but only if I can get it at a good price.

I know it MSRP'ed at $1,000 but it looks like it's worth $85-$100 tops currently. Any tips or advice?

The 2900 was a great player when it came out, but like everyone said its dated and you can get newer/better for less money. I found a completed listing for a 2910 that ended at $71 and one that's 18hrs from completion that's at $40. You did the right thing.

$200 is high no doubt but IIRC the 2900 was a higher end player than the 2910 or 2930. The 39xx series was really the successor to the 2900.

I wouldn't pay more than $100 and that only if it is in good shape.
