I just got a Denon PMA 737 integrated amp in fair cosmetic shape for $9 at the Goodwill that will not power on. They were kind enough to take $4 off the price for that reason. I bought it thinking I wouldn’t end up chasing the chicken repairing circuits cuz no fuses were blown, and I’d end up with a decent amp to keep or flip.
‘The story so far:
All fuses look fine.
No apparent burnt parts.
Transformer does not heat up.
Voltage reading to power switch (on the power switch PCB board) is 120 when disengaged, 0 when engaged.
Power Switch red LED does not light up.
Do I have a bad power switch?
Keep in mind that I don’t know jack about electronics and you may have to address my question as if you were talking to a 7 year old. Let me know if you need pics of any sort.
Thanks in advance.
