Denon PMA s10 iii help

Dear AK Friends,

I have a dillema. I used to love this amp till i got a Sansui CA / BA 3000 set and had it recapped. I find the details in the music and the smoothness amazing, especially in the mid an high band. When I use this amp, it sounds flat and lifeless and extremely boomy / flabby on the bass on a A/B comparison.

I feel that this is such a well constructed unit and has a solid feel and look to it. This amp is now 15 years old, Do you think it will hep with a recap on the main power supply as well as driver boards with Elna Silmic ii or Nichicon Audio grade caps? And will it improve the midband and handling of the the bass frequencies?

Please advise if it is worth it or should I just sell it and spend my energy and money on another vintage unit once i get my hands on it.

Thanks in advance for the opinions.

Best Regards

(BTW, the pic is actual and I am now running the amp with Wharfedale Diamond 9.6 towers.)
