Denon PRA-1500 remote needed

I just bought a Denon preamp model PRA-1500 without the remote controller. Does anyone know if a universal remote will work?? Or what Denon codes to plug into a universal remote?? I was looking at a new universal remote in a store today, and it says it will work for units built after 1990. This looks to be a nice preamp with alot of features. Does anyone have this preamp?? Any opinions on it?? thanks.

Not familiar with the pre-amp, but I have had good luck with some of the more expensive, well, remotes that control multiple components from Radio Shack. I use a universal remote I got from them that can control up to 8 compnents and has a display on it that tells yyou which component you are using.

I have also had good luck going to pawn shops. They usually gave a grab bin of extra remotes. I found one for one of my Yamaha systems that cost me $2. Sometimes it is just luck, but I would take a look next time you are in your local pawn shop.
