I have a denon sa-3900 amplifier that is quieter in one of the channels. I have thoroughly cleaned the switches and pots but that doesn't seem to be the issue. I have been pulling all the electrolytic capacitors of the board to check them but most seem to be within 20% of their rated value. So here is my question regarding capacitors, what is an acceptable range when testing these? There is a 25v 100uf cap for example and that measured as 70 uf, would that be acceptable? I am not entirely convinced this is the issue, but it's a place to start. I noticed that one resistor had gotten quite hot and a cap next to the relay had burn marks on it but that cap, relay and the resistor all measured fine. Anyhow that might be a topic for later, but for now I'd like to know at what point of inaccuracy you can reasonably expect the capacitors to be the issue. That and as per the title I need a service manual for this amplifier which I cannot seem to find anywhere for download, and I'd rather not spend 30 euros on the manual via ebay.
