Any particular reason you want to change to 75? I have a Scott R376 receiver with a 25, 50, and 75 us selection switch and believe that lower sounds better. I have mine set at 25.

i want to change to 75 us deemphasis, because i like a neutral frequency response, w/o a boosted treble.

25us in north america? then something is wrong w/your rig, somewhere. or you like *really bright* treble. at 50us, my denon's treble is too bright (as have been most every tuna & mpx decoder that i've gotten from europe, w/50us deemphasis). 25us was only for dolby fm, which never caught on. it's *WAY* too bright. it's like listening to cassettes in the *normal* position that were recorded w/dolby.

ymmv,

in case anyone wondered, i got this question answered on the fmtunerinfo's forum site. schematics are posted there, & i will soon be replacing two .0012uf caps w/.0018uf caps, effectively changing the deemphasis to the usa 75us standard! :)

i expect good things - it sounds nice as-is, even w/the treble a bit too bright. and, the guy in germany who is sending me a coupla freebie ero caps, sez his tu-850 is even better than his sansui tu-9900, amongst others. i owned one of those once, i know they are good. ;)
