Denon UD-M30: CD player won't shut

Hi

I have a Denon UD-M30. The CD player plays disks and ejects just fine but it won't shut - I have to push it all the way in with a finger.

I was looking for some pointers on this hopefully. I know these units sometimes need a new belt but was thinking that if that was gone, it wouldn't eject?

Any ideas welcome - thanks
