Denon x-2700h and Klipsch floor speakers

Hello i bought Denon x-2700h receiver and planning to upgrade my floor speakers to Klipsch since i have center and surround speakers Klipsch already. Now im starting to wonder which Klipsch im able to connect to the receiver since the av amp rating says 95w for 8ohm and the smallest amp value i found for klipsch speakers was 100 watts. Can you use speakers with bigger w numbers than what the amp says?

There's probably no difference between 95 and 100 watts. You are always recommended going to a higher powered amp/receiver.
Especially for HT. Unless you are into some smaller older Vintage pieces known for outstanding 2 channel stereo quality.
usually not found in any HT Receivers.
 
Oh man i forgot to mention i also have a subwoofer Klipsch r-10sw it says 150w/300w in the specs. When i bought it i didnt even think about the watts. Is it too powerful for the amp, can it break it?
 
Most modern subs are self powered. so no effect on the Amp/ receiver at all.
You just adjust the sub output to match the mains speakers
 
Ok thanks. Theres a Klipsch rp600f floor speakers pair that is on 30% discount 125w-500w would you advice against buying those?
 
I can't give any recommendations at all on Klipsch speakers. My only Klipsch's were real
Klipschorns, a totally different animal. I can Wholeheartedly Recommend
JBL Studio 590's. My son bought a pair while on sale for the Ludicrous Low sale price of 800$ a pair delivered.

Ok, what i meant was that are those klipsch speakers too powerful for my receiver. I dont know how the watt system works. Should the minimum value that is stated on the speakers be less than the value stated on the amp (95w in this case). Sorry my english isnt so good.
 
All speakers give recommended wattage ratings say from 20 to 200 watts.
So as a safe bet get speakers that can handle high power..
a too Low powered Receiver can Clip if pushed beyond it's limits.
that's what can Damage tweeters. As a rule, as you turn up the volume,
Listen for Distortion, Blurring of notes, or Bass hits, the most demanding parts for any amp.
any time it just doesn't sound right, turn the volume down till everything sounds clear and detailed.
Just because that point on the Volume control could be the Maximum,
even just turned to only 5 out of 10or 1/2 way on the dial.
some other songs or playback media
are recorded louder, so you have to be aware of the limits.
