DeoxIT in Canada?

Sayal electronics has deoxit but its still expensive. They do have a few other branded alternatives.

Let us know what you find!

Parts-express had D5 for $10us so if you were in need of other stuff that might work.
Long and McQuaid has them, but they are expensive too, over $60 for the pair taxes in.

Thanks guys. I picked up the 5oz cans of D5 and F5 at the Sayal store on Victoria Park (thanks trueno92). Good timing since I bought their last can of F5.

At $23.99 each, it's still less expensive than the US online vendors. Shipping and customs makes the pricing ridiculous for us Canadians.

The way I see it, if the pricey DeoxIT cans can help save several of my receivers/amps, it's money well spent.

Already fixed my first receiver...Luxman R-113. While it's not as old as most of my other receivers and should not need restoration (not yet), it had three issues:

- started to drop the sound on FM;
- slightly weak right channel; and
- the left channel produced some noise when the volume knob was turned down all the way.

After the D5/F5 treatment, all three problems are gone. :banana::banana::banana: This stuff really works wonders. :thmbsp:

To make it even better, my wife told me to set up a small stereo system in our cottage master bedroom. This small Luxman with its matching CD player and PSB Image 2B speakers should fit the bill perfectly.

Sayal Electronics, 3791 Victoria Park Ave. Just south of Steeles. Yeah, I know its north of your hood. But worth the drive up there (after rush hour).

Is that location still open? There's a new one nearby at Woodbine & 14th that I thought would've replaced it.

In Winnipeg Tip Top Electronics carries it. Don't remember the exact price, but it seems to me it wasn't overly expensive.
