Derek Trucks Band

[DaWoofer]

Heard these guys tonight on PBS radio and was rather entertained. I have never heard of them but man they reminded me of many different bands with shades of Deep Purple's organ to Uriah Heep's In-Da-Goda-Da-Vida set to jazz. Gonna have to pick up some of there LP's or CD's. Anyone have any suggestions on which titles to pick up first?

Kind of eclectic funky jazz blues folky stuff. I've got several recordings, but try as I may, I can't really get into them big time. Nice enough to listen too, but for some reason they just don't grab me.

which is weird because Derek is really good with warren Haynes as the guitarists for The Allman Brothers Band. I've seen him 4-5 times with them and always enjoyed it immensely.

They're excellent - I recommend starting with Song Lines.

+1! Joyful noise and Soul Serenade are also excellent. Song Lines has some of my favorite work in it!
