Design Acoustics

[SA1000]

Hello all!
I picked up a pair of Design Acoustics D12a's in a package deal.
I can find little to no info on history, quality when new or current value!
They are in great shape, no stands, which I'd be interested in finding or make my own.
Any knowledge of these out there?

They were made by or for Audio Technica, if that helps. Made in Ohio IIRC.

I restored these a while back, if you like omni's you will like the D-12's I can give you more info if needed.

As you can see, stands are almost mandatory with these (unless you hang them). As an omni, they'll be best moved away from reflective surfaces and in a large room. But done right, you'll have a 3D soundstage that you can literally walk into and around.

Those look to be D12's....The "A's"...didnt have downward or straight firing drivers of any sort, also, the openings for the speakers are round set into the angular cut face that makes one wall of the enclosure.
