Difference in the two SA-9800

Ok, I've seen two different Pioneer SA-9800s. One has a "160 Watt" Badge on the right bottom, and the other one, the pretty one, had that cool blue meter and more knobs. I'm guessing one of them, the 160, has less power and japanese?

Anyway, what is the difference, or IS there a difference in model, sound, ect?

HUGE differences.

SA-9800 (1975) 1975 to 1978 Related to the SA-9500 80w Mostly Japanese market ( @ 100v) few manuals to be found.
SA-9800 (1979) 1979 to 1981 NSA power amplifier circuits. 100w predominates on found manuals.


NSA is found in the sx-3800, sx-3900, sx-d500, sx-d7000 and later models. Lower distortion but highly demanding on it's replacement parts specifications, mainly speed.
