Difference in thorens tp. 16 wands?

I just posted this question in the Thorens Owners Group, but thought I put it here for possible wider viewing.
I have a Thorens TD-126 Mark III with a Thorens T-16 arm.
Have four wands for this arm, with different cartridges in each. Three are of the Mk. III type, in which the carts appear to be correctly aligned. The fourth, in which I have a Stanton 881S with the Stereohedron stylus, is from a 126 Mark II junker.
This is giving me fits with tracking problems.
Is there any difference between Mk. II and Mark III wands, other than headshell cosmetics?
Could this be the cause of my poor tracking, or is it something else like a bad stylus or owner incompetence?
Thank you for looking!

The VTA will be off significantly between the two. The MkIII arm (the TP63) sits about a half-inch higher than the MKII arm (the TP62). Don't know if that's the cause of your tracking problems, but it can't be helping.
