hey guys

it seems like there is little information available on Harman Kardon turntables.

I am specifically interested in what the differences are between the ST and the T series turntables.

From what I could gather from the pricing on eBay, ST series seem to be more expensive than the T series.

I'd also like to know the models' feature differences in each series.

If there is any other information I can look up to compare the features, that'd also be great!

P.S. I recently acquired a Harman Kardon PM660 amp, and I'd like to have the turntable that "matches" with it, so to speak.

thank you

thank you!

is there a particular advantage to linear tracking vs the conventional arms?

Linear tracking tonearms have zero tracking error, with the needle constantly at a tangent to the groove, as long as they are working properly. And there's the rub. They are typically more complex so can be tricky to keep working well.

In other words, I would avoid the LT tables for now. The T series are actually very nice too.

That said, here's my ST-7.

Where did you come up with that? Extensive searching? There’s tons of info on both lineups here and elsewhere. Both line ups, the ST and T are well respected vintage models. The ST model got started as a Rabco. Top of the line T series was the 65.
