Differences between Siemens/Halske and Valvo/Philips gold Pinned 12AT7's?

I've seen a number of two and three mica Siemens ECC81 based tubes. Some of the three mica types originating as late as the 70's/80's?

I know this tube is well known to be one of the better 12AT7's, but is there a sound difference between any of these two/three mica tubes or their date codes?

Similar question about the Valvo/Philips/etc. gold pinned types. There's the rare blue label Valvo with three micas, and the usual blue/white/etc. label Valvos with two micas, along with the Philips and one or two others that made these. Any sound difference between these tubes?

Thanks!!!

Well heck, my favorite 12AT7 isn't very remarkable. I like the Green lettered Sylvania JAN tubes. I've rolled the hell out that number too, even with some fancy Euro tubes of a different number that are drop ins. I'd give the Tele second place, but not really close. The Green JAN Sylvys are always well matched between sections, and always very quiet. They just aren't very expensive. :dunno:

Right now I use the Gold Brand GB6201's. I'm curious how the green labels/gold pinned ones I have/etc. Sylvania 12AT7 types all compare.

So you have heard the Siemens 2 or 3 mica tube as well as the Valvo/Philips gold pinned type and you find the Sylvanias to be superior?

Thanks!
