Differences in Boston BA 150 driver configuration

I saw some pics recently on some Boston Acoustics BA 150's, and noticed that on 1 pair, the drivers were vertically alligned in a straight line, where the other pair the tweeters and mids were off center, but not mirrored imaged. Is it a different series like 1 and 2? If so, which series are which, and which are better? Other than the driver placement, are there other differences which aren't apparent?

The offset ones are the earlier version, IIRC.

They seem to not really sound much different, IME. Boston is amazingly consistent with voicing.

Series III are offset. I can't remember whether the originals are or not.
