I’m trying to identify modern components to replace diode bridges H801 and H802 on the power supply board (P800) of a 2225. After much searching, I can’t seem to find any information about these components’ specifications.
The part numbers are:
H801: HD2001508; description SS-3R
H802: HD2001408; description SS-3
The service manual lists part numbers but no specs for these components, and I’ve found no specs by googling those part numbers or searching AK posts. I found this product page, were the photo seems to match, but there are no accompanying specs.
I don’t see the bridges’ part numbers included in the Transistor/diode substitution guide from this forum. The high-power diodes listed in that spreadsheet are “5B2” and “6B20,” but there are no substitutions identified for either.
Since they’re diode bridges, I would be fine replacing each one with a pair of diodes. I just need to know the specs in order to select the proper components.
I think I could estimate the diode spec to first order given the rectified voltage (+/-30VDC) and the rated power of the main amplifier (25W/channel, or 50W total), which this rectifier supplies. But I’d rather just go off a spec if possible, since the first order calculations won’t necessarily capture all the requirements that the engineers considered.
Here’s a picture of the diode bridges. Does anyone know their spec, or where to find it? Or even better, an identified substitute?
