Hey, I'm debating trading a pair of Celestion ditton 44 for a Acoustic Research ar5 :scratch2:
What do you think?Which would you take?

I'd keep the Ditton 44's personally, having owned them and also having heard a pair of AR3a's.

However, your best case scenario is to have the guy bring over the AR5's to your place and do an A/B, see which you like better.

I sold both of these models in retail when new, and would be partial to the 44s. If you can hear both together, even better.

I did an A/B for both of them, pairing with a Tandberg Tr 2060. For my taste, the AR5 is better.
