Alright, with the help of Eli Duttman on Diyaudio.com and ex-audiokarma member PakProtector I have made it this far. There are a few things left before I can attempt to fire it up. In the meanwhile, Ill show some photos.

This is my first DIY build, and its not perfect. I did my best! Probabally won't work or be noisy. The power supply is in another chassis and is not quite finished.

Lemme know what you think...

BTW; I started this project over a year ago and just started working on it again over the last couple months.

Hahahaha, if "Douglas OK's it"?!?! I bet that Douglas would gladly hold forth in a language that sounds almost, but not quite, like English to rant about it.

Nice work, BTW!

The CCS he gave me was not something he created from what I was told Squidward. He did draw it for me though.

Thanks.

How hot are you running the CCS? (idle voltage across it * idle current) If it's over a watt, ya might wanna slap a little heat sink on the power FET.

Nice work!

You're going to like this puppy. pakprotector helped me with mine many moons ago. Heck on a nice guy. If you are comming to the AKFest, he'll almost certainly be there....

Any yes. The first chip in the CCS REALLY needs a heat sink.

Thanks guys! This is actually for my dad.

I happen to have two little heat sinks! Hell yeah. Ill put them on tonight.

Smoke test, this evening in Oregon WI.. stay tuned LOL.

Looks great, Evan. I really like the layout, and your choice of materials is cool.

I'm sure it will work perfectly! :thmbsp:

It actually is published as part of a group build project, but I'll be darned if I can find the *&*^* thing....

He called the Pre-Amp/Line Stage Guenevere (for reasons that probably had to do with a drunken party....)

OTOH, he also has a Voight pipe or TQWT that sounds excellent....

Yeah, not sure of its origin all I know is where I got it and the schematic is hand drawn and scanned. cfranz, that would be great if you could locate it.

Thanks nate!

that looks real good honest:thmbsp::thmbsp:

all Im up to is unsoldering & resoldering junk. maybe one day Ill sink my teeth in to a build

I've still got the old hand drawn schematic somewhere at home. I'll publish if pakprotector says it's OK... Better yet, he can if he's made some improvements (although I can't see how)...

12B4's certainly are cool tubes, I've used them for drivers in a citation V amp.

Have also heard Doug's preamp with them, they are pretty stout some bitches!

Well, no odd glows in the north-western sky. I assume that you survived your smoke test. Did the Pre-Amp survive???

I'm pulling for you.
