i have a few vintage receivers and amps and interested in rolling and playing with. all of them work with no issue. wanting to get the most out of them for what they are thinking about doing mild service, clean pots, switches, dc offset, and bias current but nothing more, barring a bulb if easy to replace. will use for ~4 weeks before swap. considering the age and all are fully analog and mostly discrete seems like a worth while project for me with changing season limiting to indoor projects. any comments welcome.

btw - i have found caig deoxit d5 the contact cleaner go to

Agreed but scratchy pots are annoying and don't allow proper adjustment. just saying while i'm there what else can be so easily tuned from a service manual and dvm?
this is what I have, nad has no light on right channel meter.

you didn't say that, you said:

since you only mention d5, you should probably start with reading this;

be careful, understand what you are doing before you do it. we have enuff "i tried to adjust my bias and my probe slipped and now my receiver doesn't work" threads.

buy mini grabbers and start with your least favorite unit.
