Do Dynakit PAS-2 vs PAS-3 have different footprints/dimensions?

I guess this is more of a hardware question than tube but ... I bought a "PAS-2 bottom plate" and it doesn't fit on my PAS-2 it's 1/2" too wide. I asked the seller and he said he thought it might have actually been from a PAS-3, but I thought all the PAS models had the same dimensions. If it's from a PAS-3 I was thinking of keeping it, maybe to try to trade, if it's not I guess I'll return it. Any help?

I have the impression that the PAS2 and PAS3 uses the same hardware less front panel.
You might have got a sca35 bottom, it's deeper then the pas bottom.
