Older posts does seem to be maxing out under 200 ... not sure what that's all about.

And yes ... conversations has apparently replaced private posting. I've done a few already, and it does seem to work quite nicely. You can even invite someone else in if you like and that's kinda sorta like the old chat.

If you go to the very last result of the ~200, there's a link right below to show older posts, which returns about 200 more. A bit cumbersome, but they're there.

That does bring to mind one other potential whine ... This could take a long time with prolific posters ... just bopped over to search, and it only allows you to zero in on posts newer than, and it posts those with the newest posts first. Same thing, only different then. No shortcut there!

Be nice to have both NEWER THAN and OLDER THAN so you could target a date range, and also have a switchbox for reverse chronological order. Can't imagine Xenforo can't do that with a couple tweaks in the setup ...

The new PM (ie, conversations) system works (IMO) versy well and is a vast improvement over the PM @ the former boards.

Yeah, I had a BT transaction in the works as the upgrade was taking place, pretty much the first thing I did when it came back up was to delve into the new PM system. No issues so far, exchanged quite a few PMs in the meantime.

I'll apologize in advance for not knowing how to get this started. The rules have been read and forums noted, but there wasn't a procedure that was obvious to me in approaching this. This was the first thread I came across that has some relevance to my question.

When reading various forums, there appears to be members that will repair/restore/rebuild/refurbish equipment. Inquiring about their services in an ongoing thread appears frowned upon. PM, private messaging I presume, seems to be the accepted method. If true, how do I go about PM a member? If untrue, any and all corrective guidance is appreciated. Thanks
