I was listening to a record on my 'normal' turntable and there was a skip in the same few spots consistently, but on my linear tracker it doesn't skip. Is my anti skate or tracking force off or are linear trackers just less prone to skipping? I don't think there's anything wrong with how my table is set up but this makes me wonder.
I even tried a warped record that the linear tracker could play but the technics couldn't before, and now it plays the warped record as well. I just based the anti skate on how it sounded, guess I was wrong. It wasn't usually a problem though as far as I could tell, but then again I did just switch the head shell.
