Do you have any problems getting into the Chat Room?

I have a couple of members that get errors when they try to get into the new Chat Room. I can get in no problem, so am wondering if anyone else can't get in. This is especially true now that it is integrated with vBulletin. Let me know, either way yes or no. If no, please post what it says when you can't get in. Thanks for the help and your patience while we sort this out.

The problem with my puter is a memory hemorage (according to Julia) and the chat sucked the RAM up and I quickly got the OUT OF RESOURCES warning and had to reboot. Then of course I couldn't get back on line.
Nothing to do with signing in but it evedently takes a lot of RAM to run that chat.
While I could stay in it, I liked it better than fine. It is a great chat room!

no it doesnt give me a login box, id take a pic but my pos snagit trial expired. It just gives me a message saying :

Could it be a local IE security setting not allowing your login info to pass between multiple sessions? Just a thought.

I've tried it on both Windows and Mac platforms without problems.

I get in no problem from home. I know I can't from work because the chat port is blocked by my network firewall. Grumpy had to update his Java runtime client to get his to work.

Haoleb try logging out and then back in again. I got the exact same message as you did. I logged out, cleared all the cookies, and then logged back in. It worked fine after that.

Finally made it in. Fact im there now

still doesnt work even after logging out and in and clearing the cookies in my browser.

Ah well.

At least when it was on Mirc we had two ways to get in

Haha i figured out how to bypass the stupid trial thing... i was thinking to myself.... well... how does it know how many days have gone by... DUH the computers clock..... so i set the clock back a couple weeks and it doesnt know the difference. Man. whoever buys this is an idiot. When you want to use the program just set your clock back. heres the message i still get.

Still no luck here at all. I just get a grayed out log in box with no boxes to enter name or anything. Takes a long time for the page to load all the banners but I waited till done and still no log in box.

I'm not much on software troubleshooting at all. All I can say is I run windows 98 and IE version 5. If someone can help that would be great but beware I need specifc instructions when it come to software stuff.

Sure would be nice to chat once again to the gang :( :( :(

Lefty:

I run W98 too and don't have any issues so far, aside from no one being in the room to talk to.

IE5 may be a bit old. You might want to click on the "Windows Update" icon in your Start column and go to the update screens there. The's a scan program that checks out your system and tells you what's available to download. There's almost certainly an update for IE5, and there's likely to be some security enhancments too.

Check it out; it's free!
