Does anyone know much about this H.H. Scott Turntable?

I think it's a HH Scott PS59C, someone is giving it away for free with the receivers shown and a couple of pinnacle speakers. Does anyone know much about these? I haven't found a lot of information online other than the typical "It's good for beginners". What should I expect from it?
An extra question would be, I already have an ATLP60X, and I recently ordered a couple of Dayton b652 air speakers and a nobsound pre amp. Is my current setup better than this one? Or are there parts that I should keep and others that I should either sell or return? I can return pretty much everything including the LP60X, but I don't if it would be wise it is currently working great.

yes your current system is better. That HH Scott is from the later years when they got cheap.

Older HH Scott stuff especially in the Tube era were very good units.

Id pass on it if your thinking of buying it.

Thank you for your response! It's free, so I think I'll pick it up and see if the receivers or speakers are any good. If so I could put it in my living room or something. But nice to hear that what I have is better for personal use! Thank you so much!

The hh scott stuff is usually referred to as bpc or black plastic crap but it will have an actual phono preamp and enough power to make a bit of music. If i had nothing else i would certainly use it. As to your current turntable, i bought one for my father in law who had nothing to play records on and while testing it at my house it was plenty enjoyable. The thing about that scott table is it will take any p mount cartridge and there are certainly belts available for it so its a reasonable starter deck for someone.
 
If it's free and you have the room, why not pick it up? The amplifier and tuner may be worth keeping, even if the turntable and speakers really aren't any better than what you already have.
 
HH Scott? Never heard of them. Let me go do some internet searching and I’ll be back when I’ve gained some knowledge. ;)
 
My first ever amplifier was an 80s HH Scott which my parents gave me for Christmas. Earlier this year at the height of quarantine when I had nothing to do, I got it going and realized that it sounds a lot better than I remember. Probably because back when it was new I had no decent speakers to use it with.

Your equipment is from about the same era, and I would expect decent but not mind blowing performance. You may want a new stylus and belt for the turntable. Cheap and easy repair.

Pinnacle is a brand of speaker I remember from the past, but I have no memory of how good they are. You should find out the model and look them up separately, they are unrelated to Scott
