I had a pair of these bad boys back in the late 80’s… 12 inch woofer with a passive radiator and liquid cooler midrange and tweeters. Efficiency was 96db! Frequency response: 35 to 20,000 and power handling of 100W.
Does anyone remember the Realistic T-1200 tower speakers?

I had a pair of Realistic T-120 speakers back in I think it was 1987. My memory is they looked and sounded good. I was driving them with a Sansui amp and a Technics CD player.
I had the opportunity to trade the T-120's in for a pair of Mach 2's and made the deal. The Mach 2's stayed around for years, but I still kind of wish I had kept the T-120's.

It's not just you, Google hasn't heard of them either.
Google did mention some Realistic MC-1200 speakers...
I picked up a pair of Realistic speakers in the late 90's, I think they were T-120's. I didn't keep them and don't remember much about them, except the cabinets seemed to be of decent quality, and covered in real veneer.

I just posted some pics… These were the T-1200 Tower Monitors circa. 1988. Apparently, they must have been rare as I had trouble finding stock footage as well. They sounded fantastic, though… wish I still had them!

I thought they sounded superb, and I was very impressed by their efficiency. I had a Sony home theatre amp, a Yamaha equalizer, a Sony cassette deck and a Sony CD player. Later on I sold them and got a pair of Cerwin Vegas. I still say the Realistics gave a good bang for the buck, all things considered.
Always wanted a pair in the catalog they were in the top receiver package usually with the sta2080 sta2100 or sta2300 above the Mach 1 s in the food chain !

I remember that.. did you have the opportunity to hear the sta -2100? What were your thoughts when comparing it to the 2080?
The sta2100 is an amazing powerful receiver at a 120 wpc it could easily drive 2 sets of t2000 or Mach ones the sta2080 had it beat in my opinion in over all sound quality 80 wpc at .03 % is still plenty of power which is my one set up I use it to drive a pair of Mach 2 and a pair of klh speakers often in vintage receivers the sweet spot for sound is 50-80watt range below that very warm sounding but lacks the power above that can sometimes sound less refined but if I ever get a chance to get a minty sta2100 or sta2300 I wouldn’t hesitate I already have 2 sta2080s

That’s awesome… a lot of audiophiles have said the same. For instance, that a pioneer SX-1980 sounds harsh. I can’t say, but it looks like realistic modeled their Sta-2100 after it.
