does using an audio switcher decrease audio quality vs connecting directly.

I have several switch boxes like most here

None better than the one below as far as no degradation of SQ

I have a pre-amp with enough switchable inputs. And 2 outputs. Just bought a Saga+ for the new house for switching and remote control.
 
I started using an AMP switcher (Speciality AV SP-71) to separate home theater side from 2 channel streaming/phono side. It allows me to keep the AV receiver and television/gaming stuff completely separate from my preferred audio equipment, all in the same console and driving the same speakers. Works like a charm and I hear no difference with it inserted into the system.
