Dolly Sods, WV

My wife and I are planning a camping trip there.
This will be our third camping trip there in 15 years.
As isolated an area as you will find on the East Coast.
It is the highest plateau in the country (almost 4000 feet) east of the Rockies.
Because of it's altitude and location, the weather tends to be.....severe.
290 inches of snow in 2003, wind swept, and often cool....even in summer.
Because of this, the vegetation more closely resembles Northern Canada.
Lots of deer, wild turkey, black bear, fox, and other wild critters abound.
NO paved roads whatsoever in Dolly Sods.....no nuttin'.....other than beautiful scenery and near total isolation!!
Anyone else ever been to Dolly Sods?

My neighbor is from WVa. I'll have to ask her if she's familiar with that area.
