Domus Mirage value?

[aethertech]

I have the opportunity to possibly purchase Four Domus Mirage speakers, in good condition, with new crossover caps, and other refreshments by a reputable speaker repair place that knows DLK and Domus stuff.

They haven't quite settled on a price, but I am interested in them for sure. Anyone have any hints on the current valuation of Mirages?

I was just in Midwest Speaker yesterday and saw them. Don't do it. They have much better speakers for sale there.

I had a pair in 2019, and while beautiful, they sell for peanuts and sound awful. Had the Omni's too, a little better but not really. These were both recapped.

I love the way my Omni's sound though....

I've heard good things from other people with Mirages about them sounding good. I just like collecting weird and rare stuff, and the Mirages have always been near the top of my list, for being made in Mendota Heights and ...stuff.

Hmm go for it I guess. They sounded to me like someone stuck two Amazon Echos under some pillows in corners and turned them to 100%.

Don’t pay more than a grand for all 4.
