I bought a preamp from Paul in Barter Town. His description was right on target, his packing/shipping could not have been better (original McIntosh/Audio Classics cartons are unbeatable), and his communication was great.

Five (!) days after sending him a cheque, I'm listening to it. That's service for you.

Long version:
Just for clarification, I posted a positive thread for Paul (Don Bocadill) yesterday afternoon. I noticed another recent thread praising Paul and it occurred to me that I had a very good transaction early in the summer and I did not remember leaving feedback. (I even looked/searched and I somehow missed it.) Anyway, I posted a positive thread in regards to our transaction and then discovered this original post. Oops. :) I figured it was not entirely within the spirit of the Feedback Forum to have two positive threads for only one transaction, so I quickly deleted the new thread. Though it was active for only a short time, I suppose it is possible that somebody may have seen it and then may have noticed it gone and might think that indeed I had changed my mind. (A moderator did send me a short note of concern this morning after discovering the deleted thread and asked that very question.)

After thinking about it a few minutes at lunch today, I thought it might be best to just add a quick clarification. That's all! :D

Short version:
Paul = good!
