for a few days for work ... possibly going to sneak to jazzfest - but wanted to know if anyone had any must-stop by places for audio gear or records that I should check out in the city of New Orleans while I am down here - Thanks All!

Euclid records in the baywater, Jim Russell's on Magazine, and upstairs at The Louisiana Music Company in the Quarter.

yep Euclid for sure, Louisiana music factory, Domino records. I would skip Jim Russels, I work a block from there and don't even bother going in anymore. as far as gear dominos has some stuff, there is one high end store in metaire that carries audio research and maganapan, harbeth etc. that's about it for gear. if you want food or bar recommendations let me know and I can help you out, if you would like to come by and listen to some records and drink some beers shoot me a pm, AKers are always welcomed!

Thanks for the replies! I will have to take a raincheck on the beer and hang out time to listen to some records for the next trip - thanks for the offer! I am going to try to hit one or two of the spots before jumping on the plane later today

No problem, if you only have time for a couple of places head to Euclid first then to Louisiana music factory, both are pretty close to each other and both have a lot of great stuff. good luck!
