A 6AT6 is like half of a 5751. Somewhat lower gain than a 12AX7.

Don't really know what that means.

Can I still connect it up the same way as willyrover had 'em, or is there some fiddling with the support component I have to do?

I'm thinking now that I'll try to reverse engineer the circuit...

Then proceed to rip everything out and try to make a stereo 6AQ5 SE amp. Or buy another pair of 6AQ5 tubes and make a stereo PP amp...

... Doable? :scratch2: Or am I crazy?

That's interesting. I have a couple of Zenith monoblocks that use 6AT6's as driver tubes. What's the sonic reputation of the 6AT6?
