Driving 16ohm+ Speakers with MC275 and/or MC501?

Hi

I am getting my dealer to test the MC501 as well as the MC275 with highly efficient (107db) AG rated at 18 ohms

Looking at an MC275 in Stereo, it has a tap for 16ohm which I guess I should use...however, when you mono them, they only have settings for up to 8ohms.

Should I just stick to one MC275 because of that? The MC501's do not have 16Ohm taps as well

Thanks

Well...the test was done and the 501's are not to my liking with the AG's. Hard to beat tubes with those. The single MC275 was run at 16ohms and the sound was not too bad...more meaty than the 300BSET it was up against but still a bit on the slow side.

So my question of how to use the MC275 in mono when the AG's are rated at 18ohms...the MC275 in mono can only be configured for 8ohm it seems...anyone?

Many Thanks
