Driving JBL L100 speakers with sx-850

I am new to the forum & have tried to read through the post to make sure this hasn't come up. I just have got the bug from getting a sx-850. My question is I just bought a pair of Jbl L100 Century speakers. Wondering if this sx-850 is enough to drive the 100's to optimal performance or do I need a bigger receiver like the 1050? Thanks in advance for your input.

I agree you'll be fine provided both are in good condition and you do not drive the 850 into hard clipping, which could damage your speakers.

JBL L100 aren't too hard to drive. they are rated at 91DB (sensitivity) . A healthy 40W amp/receiver can make them sing .
