DSOM inserts

[kermit z]

Today while out Christmas shopping, I found some records at a thrift that appeared to be very well taken care of. Since I can't resist picking up nice albums, I picked up 8 that I didn't have including 2 copies of Dark Side of the Moon. One copy looks brand new in a plastic cover. It is a Capitol pressing with the Barcode on the back. The other copy was a Harvest pressing that contained a Poster insert. While looking thru more albums, I found another poster insert that had fallen out. Does anyone know if the Harvest copy was the only one with inserts. I have another Capitol copy that did not have inserts either.

the harvest was the only one to include inserts i believe. there were 2 posters, one of the green pyramids and one of the band and 2 stickers. hard to find even if you do find a harvest copy.

Those are the posters It does not have stickers though. I am kinda surprised since most folks, me included, would have hung those the day I opened the album.

yeah that's why they're hard to find with the record, but when you do the record is usually in great shape because maybe they weren't big floyd fans so they didn't hang the posters and didn't play the record much. i've found 2 copies with all the inserts.

I've got the Capitol version and I have both posters and the stickers. Luckily my mom would not let me hang things on my wall so they are still in mint condition!

I'd go back and look for those stickers!

The new 180g repressings come with the posters and stickers as well.

The quad and some foreign versions came with different versions of the posters. My Swedish stereo Harvest copy has the quad posters and the stickers are printed on poster paper instead of sticker paper.

I did:yes: But nothin around. I got to think that if the posters were still there the stickers would be too. Oh well:sigh: still

Congratulations! :thmbsp:
The stickers aren't "sticking" inside the jacket, are they?

It's always fun to find inserts (whether original or previous-owner-added), and it is very common to find variations in the inserts, among the pressings from different countries. I have four or five different variations on the Beatles pictures found in the white album, for example, including different sizes, paper types (some glossier and some duller), and both separated (cut) and uncut-on-one-sheet versions, and a few variations in the poster, too. Besides the well-known poster variations (e.g., the nude bits), there are differences in paper type and size.

No DSOTM inserts here... something to look for!
