Hello again my dears!
My good old Dual 1015 started to „transmit” noise in my speakers.
The sound started to be heard while playing a vinyl with a lot of base. It was like the wind was blowing in a microphone. Then it started to feel like someone was knocking in a door.
I called my friend who serviced it few weeks ago and told him what strange noises can be heard.
He came with his tools and decided to change the audio wire from inside the tonearm. Very difficult operation but he succeed to do that! Then we listened to children songs (cause that was the first vinil I found at the moment) and no strange noise. I found a vinil with dance music and a lot of base and after playing side A the strage knocking started to be heard again. He was shocked, I was shocked!
He even pulled out the cartridge and started the turntable but those knocking could be heard in 2 different receivers (my old one who was serviced recently and some active speakers I bought recently).
He concluded that the preamplifier he hooked up may cause the noise (since there was no needle and no cartridge attached to the tonearm; last time we found inside the turntable an original preamplifier and he decided to hook it up to the turntable since the preamplifier of my receiver was almost dead)
The next day he thought there may be also another thing that can cause those knocking noises: the power switch.
I uploaded a video with the noises and I hope to receive some help from you since this is my loved and darling turntable and I can not imagine to loose it.
