Dual 1019 Scrape Sounds - Bearing too High

Looking for some help troubleshooting a Dual 1019. I do have experience cleaning and lubing various Duals but I've never encountered this problem.

The platter doesn't seem to fit properly onto the bearing. The bearing nearly sticks out past the platter. I tested the platter on a 1009 and it fits fine so I know the platter is not the problem.

When I rotate the platter by hand it make an awful scraping noise.

I have posted two pictures. One is of the 1019 problem and the other is the same platter on a 1009. The photos aren't very good but they are just there to hopefully illuminate the distance the bearing protrudes on the 1019.

As mentioned before, I do have experience with Duals but I have never met this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just added a washer on top of what was already stacked on the bearing and the scraping has stopped. Certainly not a permanent fix.

Any further insight would be welcomed.

Actually, I didn't see this until today. Are you going to be able to fix it? I hope so.

I think I will need to order a new platter bearing. I did tap it back. Most of the scraping is gone but I believe a replacement would be best.

The new issue is the tonearm only moves freely half way across the platter. I cleaned and lubricated the start/size selector switches but the resistance is still there. The anti-skate is very stiff and it seems like there is metal rubbing on metal on the back half where the tonearm pivots.

Solved this by loosening and resetting the two screws on what appears to be the called the "spring post". Again, new issues that I've never met with a Dual. I assume these are issues that arise from misuse rather than lack of use.

The final issue is the cam for the auto-start won't kick in unless I manually start the cam. I hope this will be solved once I give it a good cleaning but there appears to be some friction there that hasn't been solved with a quick fix.
