Dual 1219 and 1229 same tonearm head?

Hi all,

a friend gives me his 1229 with the tonearm head, broken.

I've been lloking for 1229 parts, no luck, but ....i've seen some 1219 ones.

The 1219 tonearms, and tonearms heads fits the 1229? same wiring?

Another thing, the plastic speed selector switch is broken too, is the same as the 1219 with the pitch knob?

I've found many 1219 parts, and not working turntables, but no these 1229 ones...

The most-early 1219 heads have a slightly-different casting in that the area that sits into the arm-rest is a slightly different width. Not an issue if you have an entire parts-table to pick at.
It is up to you whether to replace the arm, the arm-tube assembly, or just the head. It all fits.
The speed selector will not fit. Not the knobs alone, nor a transfer of the entire assembly with the knobs. I have tried it. But you may be able to file the 1219 speed knob so that it fits over the 1229 pitch knob. This I have done, but it may not look great.

Ok, I´ll wait for a 1229 speed selector, but if i doesn`t find a 1229 head, i´ll go for a 1219.
