Dual 1229Q Stacking Spindle Stopped Working

Hello,

A couple days ago I thought I would try using my turntable on Multi-Play mode (the turntable has been serviced) So I moved the switch to Multiplay and the tonearm raised up and I Put the stacker spindle in and it worked perectly and dropped records. Today I tried it again and now the spindle won't drop records. Sometimes after about 3 times of cycling the turntable I can get it to drop a record but its not consistant. I have read little bits and pieces of figuring this problem out. I'm confident the issue is with the turntbale because I have two multi-play spindles and when the record player would drop records I tried both stacker spindles and both worked so I don't think both of them broke at the same time. Is there some adjustment or something I need to do. Any help would be great!

Can’t help you with that. I don’t stack records. May have one kicking around here. If so and you want it I can send it to you.

There is an adjustment, but way more likely the issue can be traced to a stuck safety mechanism that prevents record dropping unless several parameters are fulfilled.
You serviced it but ......
OR the platter support dowel has begun to pull out of the casting.
