Dual 1257 CS wires

I need to replace the headshell wires for a dual 1257 cs. And maybe the cartridge. Any suggestions for wire kite that would work. This has the ultra low mass arm. Getting hum and channel out due to, ahem, some wire fixing gone bad. Also, do you recommend going to the 1/2 cartridge adaptor? I think this is the orig cart and stylus.

No suggestions on wire kits or rewiring, but if you can get your hands on the 1/2" cartridge adaptor, do it. It's as rare as hen's teeth but opens up possibilities for cartridges beyond the original Dual/Ortofon ULM cart.
