Hi folks. This is my first post, so hope it's in the right place.
I have a Dual 510 turntable that all of a sudden won't turn on/spin when lifting the control arm. (Full disclaimer: I know basically zero about turntable repair.)
Anyway, I popped the plate and cover off to investigate. I used a multi-meter to test the SM840 motor and it was 0.5 Ohm, which seems acceptable. The control arm mechanism appears to be OK. Could it be the power cord or wiring? The pulley seems fairly loose, and I've ordered a new one, but it seems like that wouldn't prevent the record player to power up when moving the control arm. Photo below. Any advice would be appreciated for this noob. Thanks!
