Dual 604 - Antiresonator - again

Sorry-but I need to repeat an old topic.

I have a Dual 604 where the felt pat has fallen off in the anti-resonator has fallen off.

There are plenty of pictures available of what broken units look like. Even a few pics of best guesses about how to put it together. These pics and posts show more than one idea about how this is held together.

Does anyone have a lead on how this should look before it falls apart. First hand knowledge or a pic of the actual item.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you, Tourmax,

I had already seen that post. Other posts have a different opinion on how the pad should be mounted. Hence my quandary and desire to hear from someone that has seen one of these before it fell apart.

When I repaired mine, I did it like the drawing in that post. (I used cork instead of foam but I attached it the same way.)

It worked perfectly. As long as the foam, (or whatever you use) isn't wider than the flat spring, getting it back together isn't too bad. I had some difficulty at first but it was because the cork pad I used was wider than the spring. Once I corrected that, everything went back together just fine.

I would feel confident in tackling this repair again, now that I know how it works. The drawing in that linked thread really has everything you need to know.

Good luck!
