Dual 604 Cue Issue

I need some help please! I’ve had my Dual 604 since new. I’ve had it stored for 30 years. The cue arm acts like it’s spring loaded when I push it towards the rear to engage/drop arm to LP the cue arm springs back & will not let the arm drop onto LP. Arm drops in the cradle as it should. Any advise would be appreciated!

When you cue it up, there is a plastic slide underneath the chassis that is supposed to move. I'll bet yours is frozen up with old grease. Anything that's been on the shelf that long needs to be disassembled and cleaned, and then properly oiled.
