Fallen down the 604 rabbit hole. All to resurrect my early 80's Dual 604. It was about a day from the dumpster till I stumbled on more recent posts here with varied comments, tips and suggestions.

To get a great turntable with auto shutoff. I was looking at a thousand bucks so I said why not put two thou into my own table and bring it back to life.

I'm aiming to have two solid turntables, the 3rd was bought for parts. Reconditioning everything: capacitors, connectors, covers. I admire the design as much as the tables, so I'll get into critiques and the plus side of this engineering marvel. I have an admiration for certain Churman (German) design such as Duals, Leicas and Rolleis. Pinnacles of non discardable technology!
