Dual 701 Set-Down Adjustment

Hello everyone, I am fixing up a friends dual 701. This isn’t my first dual, nor is it even my first 701. I got everything sorted out on the turntable (except one thing) and it sounds fantastic. The one problem I am facing is that when you press start, the tonearm sets down a tiny bit too far into the record. I read online somewhere that there’s a screw that becomes visible when you select the speed to 45RPM. That screw from what I’ve read is supposed to adjust the set-down point of the tonearm on the record. Well I cannot get that screw to budge! It won’t move at all. Is this the correct way to adjust the tonearm set down point? I will provide a picture of the screw I’m referring to.

It's exactly where the OP said it is; clockwise for inner, counter for outer.

I'm wondering if he ever got the screw to move? It won't move on my 701 either.

The screw can be stubborn at times. If it refuses to turn using the correct size flat head screwdriver then it requires some general cleaning and maintenance around the surfaces directly under the screw to cause it to come loose. Once it starts to turn then the subsequent adjustments are easier to make.
