Dual 701 tonearm adapted to a Dual 1229?

I need a tonearm (only tube and head) for a Dual 1229. I would like to ask for any information on how would it be possible to replace the tonearm tube and head from a Dual 701 on the Dual 1229.
Can I use only the tube and head from the 701 and fit properly in the 1229?
They seem to have the same tube length and head size.
